Anastacia Newkirk (her real name) , was born on the 17th of september in 1973,
she was born in a really "music" family , in the way that her mother was an
off-brodway actress and her father a musician. She grew up in Newyork, and
when she was 13 , her and her family went to Chicago.
"There was a lot of mom , but not dad at all" she said in an interview, cos her
dad abandoned the family when she was just a child.
After being a dancer for a while, (she performed in Salt 'N' Pepa's videos)
she was discovered by the MTV's show "The Cut" in 1998, (that's a sort of star serach).
She didn't win the competition but she was immediatly called by Epic Daylight to sign
a contract. After that we know what we've seen! A Wonder-Girl singin' like Tina Turner !

During 2002 Anastacia underwent a heavy cancer treatment , cus of breast cancer. They found out she was ill totally by the luck , since she went to the hospital to have a breast reduction and found out she was heavily ill.
The media didnt save themselves from hurting anastacia even more when they said the news on TV without giving her time to tell her family and friends - blergh- . In conclusion Ana found a breast cancer fund to allow every young girl to get a mammogram cus the only way to get cancer in time is prevention and early check ups. 

Now its months shes cancer free and a Survivor Chick :). Her tour went to be from august 2004 to um all 2005, all throughout Europe.
