Here we are then, my first article once again after ages, this is dope trust me. Anyway apart from my odd intro I would like to talk about Music and Fashion in general, not regarding just Anastacia but the new trend in music of the so called "star system". I don't know if you noticed it, and if you didn't then welcome back to earth, but it's a well acknowledged truth every single female singer of the planet is having her personal clothing or perfume line.

Let's start with Britney, or J-LO, or whoever else comes to your mind, then my question is, must music be attached so much to clothes we can't live without another line by some singer? well the answer may come unappropriate for many people but I think that fashion should stay fashion and music just a bunch of notes as it usually is.

I am not saying that if I ever got to be so famous one day I wouldn't want my personal line of clothing to share with other people and maybe I'd do a decent job on it. But the point is another one, do we really need it? Well honestly no. I really prefer to stick to my brand of clothing and accessories such as Hollister or Vans or Gucci (not going to happen any time soon too way ka-ching for that last one I mentioned) and let other designers on their way to sales.

I don't know, thinking of it it's kind of nice, I mean an artist putting so much effort in making perfumes, but aren't there yet CK, Chanel, and all the N°5s of the world to please our noses? No I definitely need Britney's scent to make my day. Apparently. I do.

I wish the music business was different, I wish it was just music. I really enjoy listening to new songs instead of buying clothes with no music in it, for how much I love Britney, even now when she's having a little breakdown (call it little lady and you're really gentle), but I do still like her music, see her latest Album is pretty cool for me (no ballads yay). So I mean it doesn't really matter if you are on dope, drunk and constantly in and out of re-hab. We love you, we love your music, but we can live without your fashion line.

Now back on subject, what has this to do with Anastacia you ask me? Quickly I'll give you an answer I hope, let's start from the fact I do really appreciate Anastacia for all she did and for her strenght (see her health problems) and everything she did in the past was so great I have no words of admiration enough for her. Back to her music I think she's the most talented singer around, I have been to her concert and she sings live better than a recorded CD, so here's the deal, I miss her music, and I miss her promoting touring and all the jazz fans love. Trust me I do appreciate her effort in making a clothing line with S.Oliver, who is actual stylist, however I don't really understand why people would go so crazy about a clothing line just because it's hers.

Don't get me wrong I am just stating my opinion, I am a fan, I will be a fan for the time being, but I would prefer singers to actually stick to music without going all around places showing up tank tops and sweat pants I won't probably ever wear. I love gadgets, I wish there was an briefs line called "Anastacia's 4 pants united", however there's not, and I get just skirts and stuff like that. I find S.Oliver's stuff "cute" but it has nothing to do with CK or D&G or anything lower like ZARA and Mango or in general RL or whatever you identify as nice in fashion.

So in conclusion I don't want to bash any singer's actions by getting their own fashion line however I don't agree with their choice, I love them for their music and that will stay as it is, but really... go to GAP and buy something there.
